Austria

Volksschule Wildbach will represent Austria in a Snapshot of Europe in 2011.

Basque Country

Colegio P. Andrés de Urdaneta Ikastetxea (or Colegio Urdaneta) was founded in 1970. It belongs to the Augustinians catholic educators with rich heritage of traditions and experience.
It’s located in a small town called Loiu (Lujua in Spanish), close to Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque Country in northern Spain.
Students can study in two ways: either half of the subjects in Basque and the other half in Spanish, or they choose to have all subjects in Spanish and the Basque language only as a subject.

'Scharrel' will represent Belgium in a Snapshot of Europe in 2011. We are a primary and preprimary school in the north of Belgium. Our website

Belgium 2

Qworzó is an elementary school in a small village called Merksplas which lays about 70 km north of Brussels. We speak Dutch like they do in the Netherlands, since our school is located in Flanders. Since there are a lot of people in Belgium who speak French we learn French in school also. Our school teaches about 400 children aged 3,5 – 12 years. Our website

Croatia are represented by Bartula Kasica Primary School in Zadar.

Cyprus

Our school is located in the heart of Cyprus, near the Troodos Mountains, in a village called Agros. It was built in 1930, but it was fully renovated in 1992 and now it is a modern building with a playing yard and a beautiful garden full of roses, as our village is famous for its roses. Czech Republic

ZS Husova school from Brno, in the centre of Southern Moravia Region was opened in 1883 and it is situated below famous Spilberk castle.

Denmark 1

Stadil-Vedersø Skole is a public primary school. It is located near the North Sea, 120 km west of Århus and 15 km north of Ringkøbing. Denmark are one of the co-founders of the project. Our website

The "Ecole publique de Florentin" is located in the south west of France, around 75 kilometers north of Toulouse.

Germany

Freie Schule Kassel is a small school founded by a parents' initiative some 20 years ago. Kassel is situated in the centre of Germany close to the former border.

Károly Kós Primary and Art School, Zsombo, from Csongrád County, near the City of Szeged represent Hungary.

Malta 1

St Ignatius College, Siggiewi Primary School are the representatives from the tiny island of Malta.

Dun Gorg Preca Primary School C, in Hamrun, is delighted to be the second representative from the island of Malta. Our website

Norway

Tyssedal Primary School has 73 pupils from 1st-7th. grade. The day care center has about 23 children from 1st-4th. grade. It is open before school from 06.45 till 08.30, and after school till 16.00.

The base is in one part of the school, and has a pre-primary school teacher as leader, and 3 assistents in part time job.Tyssedal is a small village near Odda in the west of Norway - well known for fjords, glaciers and waterfalls. Our area is most famous as "a catalysator to our industrial period early 1900".

Poland 1

"Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1" is located in the south west of Poland,. There are around 450 children, 6 - 12 years old.

Slovakia 1 are by Základná škola which is situated in Poprad, in the north of Slovakia in beautiful hilly surroundings.
